A sunny day lends itself to great opportunity to capture some of the visitors to my backyard. Some of these may have their nests in our trees.
First up, the black phoebe. This one may have a nest in our olive tree. He is often seen perched on our fence. This time he was as much curious about me as I am intent on capturing it in the correct lighting.
The common sparrow.
Harvesting.
Hummingbird. There are four kinds of hummingbirds. The female counterpart of these are quite similar in appearance, therefore it may be difficult to distinguish the correct type.
Below is probably the rufous hummingbird, female. The males have a more distinctive throat adornment and are more colorful on average.
