During my year in the small city of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, I lived next to the Wisconsin River. On the other banks of the river lives this swan by itself. They say these mate for life, so one wonders if it's mate is gone.
I followed this swan for some time, and on one particular day it came closer to shore than usual, in particular to a house right on the river. With my camera in the car (I usually have my camera with me most of the time) I asked to go into their porch and the rest is history.

I like the new pictures and how the sun makes the swan seem to glow! Very nice job.
