Vancouver, Canada

My trip to Canada, August, 2010 Greeted by totem pole, this one of an eagle.

The lighthouse in Stanley Park greets ships for years.

And the eagle in the flesh.
Opportunity lent itself to this eagle heading straight at me off of the coast of Stanley Park. Click on photo too expand it.

Statue of the coast in Stanley Park, Vancouver. A gift to Vancouver to show the its dependence on the water.

My cousin Tuan, on the Capilano Suspension Bridge. After this posting, I found out that the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, a 10 minute drive north, is much better.

Water lilies. The temple wouldn't let me pick it.

Mom, at the International Buddhist Temple.

Thousand heads of Buddhas.

and thousands of hands.

This is a street performer, which is common in big squares in Europe also. What a way to make money, I will keep my day job.

Water lilies. I couldn't pick these either. There wouldn't be any left for others to see.

This is taken on the steps of the information center. In the background is the Victoria Parliament, Victoria, B.C.
