Los Angeles Zoo, November 2014
a Bongo (below) is one of the largest African antelope, herbivorous and mostly nocturnal.
they are the only tragelaphid (genus of antelope) in which both gender have horns. Now that's what I call equal rights. Both sexes even have similar weights.
the Mountain (eastern) Bongo can only be found in the wild in remote region of central Kenya.
It is listed as critically endangered.
Noticed the two tear drops on it's cheek (below)
The desert big horn sheep; these horns are indeed impressive. These are found in the southwestern US. they are classified as least concern on the conservation status.
The rings on their horns indicate their age. The more the older. And both sexes have horns.
Male individuals are called Rams, verses female ewes. Guess what animal Dodge uses for their pick-up trucks.
Next up, the Steller's sea eagle. Found in coastal north eastern Asia. It is a close cousin to the bald eagle, but has a longer wingspan.
Three things are yellow in this bird: eyes, beak, and feet. Reminds me of liver failure patients.
There is also the South African crowned crane (not pictured here, you gonna have to use your imagination), that lives from Angola south the South Africa.

below; "mind sharing?"
